AUTUNNO CONTADINO DELLA FIERA DI BREONIO
Sunday, 4 October 2026 in Molina di Fumane
On Sunday, October 4, 2026, Molina di Fumane will host the opening of Autunno Contadino 2026, a festival created to celebrate rural life, mountain products, local traditions and the cultural heritage of the Verona Lessinia area.
The event is promoted by the small producers of the Antica Terra Gentile association, in collaboration with Pro Loco Molina di Fumane APS, and with the patronage of the Municipality of Fumane.
For four Sundays, the villages of Molina di Fumane, Gorgusello, Breonio and Cavalo will host a series of events dedicated to local products, crafts, traditions and the discovery of the area.
- October 4: Autunno Contadino in Molina di Fumane
The first day of the festival will take place on Sunday, October 4, in Molina di Fumane, a charming village in the Valpolicella area known for its ancient stone courtyards, historic water mills and the natural landscape of the Molina Waterfalls.
Starting at 9:00 a.m., the Organic Farmers’ Market will open, giving visitors the opportunity to meet local producers and artisans and purchase products connected with mountain life and traditions.
The market will feature mountain pasture cheeses, Lessinia honey, preserves, seasonal vegetables, medicinal herbs and locally crafted products.
The event is intended not only as a place to purchase local products, but also as an opportunity to meet the people who work the land every day, preserving skills, traditions and forms of production that are an important part of the cultural heritage of Verona’s mountain communities.
In the afternoon, the mountains tell their story through books and memories
At 3:00 p.m. in the village square, the day will continue with “La Montagna si racconta” (“The Mountain Tells Its Story”), an event dedicated to literature, stories and the collective memory of the local community.
Two books will be presented, offering different perspectives on the relationship between people, the mountains and the memory of the area.
The first is “Soto el tabar” by Leonardo Ceradini, a collection of poems, stories and reflections inspired by mountain life.
The second is “Prima persona plurale” by Alessia Coati, a work inspired by the life of partisan courier Anna Pozzani. The book won third place in the “Festival della Lettura 2026” competition in Volargne.
It will be an afternoon dedicated to words and personal stories, presenting the mountains not only through their landscapes and products, but also through the people, events and memories that shape their identity.
Four Sundays among the villages of Lessinia
After the opening event in Molina di Fumane, Autunno Contadino 2026 will continue for three more Sundays, bringing the farmers’ market and related activities to nearby villages.
