The Slow Food Earth Market in San Floriano in Valpolicella hosts over thirty small producers from the province of Verona and the surrounding areas of Mantua, Brescia, Trentino and Vicenza.

Most of these are family-run businesses that are attentive to the preservation of biodiversity and sustainability and offer very diverse products. Depending on what the season offers, one can find: vegetables and fruit, pasta, pulses, flour, rice, bread and bakery products, meat, fish from the lake, oil, beer, wine, cheese, cured meats, honey, jams, mushrooms, truffles and saffron.

The event intends to promote food culture through the three key words of Slow Food, namely 'Good, Clean and Fair', with the aim of making consumers understand the importance of their actions in everyday life and in the act of purchasing.

At the same time, however, the San Floriano Earth Market also wants to enhance the Valpolicella's food and wine and tourism sector, through tastings of seasonal food, walks and guided tours through the heart of Valpolicella, workshops for children, music and art. Numerous events will therefore be created to raise awareness of the history, culture and landscapes that surround and make this area unique.

The Slow Food Earth Market of San Floriano in Valpolicella is the result of a synergic action between the San Pietro in Cariano Municipal Administration, the Garda Veronese Slow Food Association and the NOI Association of San Floriano.

It is held every third Sunday of the month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Via della Pieve in San Floriano and is only 13 km from the city of Verona. It can be easily reached by car thanks to its proximity to the ring road or also by public transport connecting Verona with Valpolicella.
