Constitution of the Terra di Valpolicella business district

The initiative being presented intends to promote the consolidation phase of the ‘Distretto delle Terre di
Valpolicella', through the implementation of strategic qualification and development actions, which support and structure its evolution, in synergy with the themes of attractiveness of the area, with a view to quality and environmental sustainability, innovation and qualification of the commercial and tourist offer of the area.

The programme reserves a prominent role for the commercial activities inserted in the urban fabric of the eight municipalities adhering to the District, in order to favour their regeneration, searching for new strategies of sustainable commercial development from an economic, social, territorial and environmental point of view.

In this sense, the initiative, which is the subject of this project, aims to

- Qualify trade as a factor of innovation, integration and valorisation of all the resources
available to the territory of the ‘Distretto delle Terre di Valpolicella’, in order to increase its attractiveness and
support the competitiveness of the offer;

- Qualifying in a systemic perspective and enhancing the strengths of the area, both from a commercial and a tourist point of view, by favouring integration between the various activities.

Through its programme of interventions, the District will act as a facilitator of the synergy between trade and tourism, helping to increase the positive effects of the tourist flows that pour into the area and that can further increase thanks to a careful and targeted policy of promo-communication and territorial marketing.

By collaborating, the District will be able to help commercial activities actively insert themselves in the dialogue between the territory and the tourists visiting it, making them more visible and generating interesting business opportunities.
At the same time, the involvement of commercial activities and public establishments may help to enrich and qualify the service to tourists, contributing their part to their satisfaction and generating positive word-of-mouth for the future.
