In order to revalue the territory of the 'Terre di Valpolicella' trade district from an economic and commercial point of view, a series of initiatives have been carried out for the recovery of vacant spaces for commercial use in areas at risk of desertification or characterised by a significant weakening of the commercial offer.

To do this, several activities were carried out:

- Census and monitoring of unused commercial spaces:

Discussion tables were set up with real estate agencies and Merchants' Associations active within the territory of the "Distretto delle Terre di Valpolicella". A census of unused commercial spaces was then carried out in cooperation with the District partner municipalities.

- Creation of a database of unused commercial spaces:

A database of vacant properties for commercial use within the 'Distretto delle Terre di Valpolicella' was created. The processing of the data made it possible to identify "criticalities" and possible immediate prospects for the reuse of the "voids", and highlighted system criticalities (of an urbanistic, viability and structural ageing nature), in order to draw up a master plan of feasible interventions in the medium and long term. Re-use policies were then identified, taking into account the geographical and urban complexity of this large territorial district, thus activating proposals to local stakeholders (trade operators, institutions, associations)Updating of the database was carried out through the collaboration of a number of real estate agencies present in the District's territory and with the District's partners

- Inclusion on the web portal of information on surveyed vacant commercial real estate units:

The database of vacant commercial real estate units was inserted in the "Distretto delle Terre di Valpolicella" web portal; during the course of the project, it was promoted with all the tools foreseen in the communication plan and in all the contact occasions with commercial operators and potential investors.
